A Deeper Expression of the Maverick House Style
Samuel Maverick Private Reserve Bottled-in-Bond Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a grain-to-glass bourbon crafted from Texas-grown corn, rye, and barley, distilled in small batches, and aged in the historic bank vaults beneath Maverick Distilling.
Produced to Bottled-in-Bond standards and bottled at 100 proof, the current release is aged more than five years. That extra time and structure are intentional, building a fuller bourbon with rich sweetness, baking spice, roasted nuttiness, and a lingering trace of barrel smoke.
This bourbon matures on-site in the historic vaults beneath 115 Broadway. Its higher proof gives the whiskey enough structure for spirit-forward cocktails while preserving the depth and texture that make it equally suited to sipping neat.
Bottled-in-Bond is more than a proof statement. It is a set of standards built around transparency: one distilling season, one distiller, one distillery, at least four years in a bonded warehouse, and bottling at 100 proof.
Maverick's Private Reserve goes beyond the minimum age requirement, with the current expression resting more than five years beneath the distillery in downtown San Antonio. For us, the value of Bottled-in-Bond is the discipline behind it: clear standards, accountable production, and enough time in barrel to let the whiskey show what those choices can become.
